Position: Campus Corp Team Leader

Interested in civic engagement and possess strong event planning skills? If so, we have the position for you!

What is Montana Campus Corps?

MTCC is an AmeriCorps Program that engages college students in meeting critical community identified needs through meaningful service. Members serve in leadership roles within their communities, and develop a deeper sense of civic responsibility in the process. Members also strive to involve other students in community service by recruiting volunteers from among their peers.

Term runs from Aug 15, 2010-Aug 14, 2011, although can begin ASAP.

You must be willing to make a one-year, full time commitment (35-40 hrs per wk) to the program, serving a minimum of 1700 hours during one academic year.

You must have an Associate’s Degree; a Bachelors Degree is preferred.

You must possess strong leadership, event planning, communication, and self motivation skills.

This is not a paid position; however the successful applicant will receive a bi-weekly-living allowance. All applicants should demonstrate community service leadership experience and potential.

Position: Full-time Math /Computer Instructor Department: Instruction

General Description of Responsibilities and Duties:

Under the supervision of The Dean of Academic Affairs, the full-time Math/Computer Instructor will:
1) teach approximately 12-16 credits per semester,
2) serve as academic advisor to students in the Computer/Math program,
3) serve on Curriculum Committee and other committees as assigned,
4) perform periodic program assessment activities,
5) coordinate the review and revision of the Computer/Math curriculum,
6) supervise student research and internship activities.

The curriculum ranges from developmental mathematics through calculus. Specifically, the Math /Computer Instructor will be responsible for teaching a full class load consisting of a combination of math and computer science classes depending upon the level of expertise and background of the successful candidate.

Educational Requirements:
Masters degree; Math with an area of emphasis in CIS or CIS with an emphasis is Math.

Start Date: Academic Year Contract which will begin on August 16, 2010.
